I am a member of Missouri Botancial Gardens. Are you a reciprocal garden??
Tremendous experience! The gardens themselves were in outstanding shape, but the Chihuly pieces elevated the visual appeal. Great visit!
MoreOne of my favorite places for my family and I to go.
My girlfriend and I have been members here for over three years. We love coming here for every new exhibit and especially the Christmas lights every winter. It is a beautiful property with new surprised every time we go. The staff are also some of the friendliest around and love to share their knowledge of the campus. If you're looking for a beautiful place to picnic, a nice walk, or to see something you haven't before, you'll love Cheekwood.
MoreThe scenery is beautiful. The gardens are clean with great upkeep. So many beautiful colors and the pumpkin houses are adorable. I especially enjoyed the herb garden. The thyme and rosemary scents made me hungry. :-) I also noticed all kinds of work going on as they updated garden areas and strung lights to prepare for Christmas displays. It makes me want to come back to visit one day soon, and I truly appreciate the military discount. Oh and it's a great way to get steps in.
MoreCheekwood is an amazing place. There are a variety of beautiful flowers, a nice hiking trail, and a Japanese garden among the things to see. Highly recommended.
MoreBeautiful, unique, and historical gardens. Wonderful family geared events. The staff are friendly and engaging! I love the art installations (as if you need any added beauty to the campus). The bar mixologists when available are very creative and geared towards new, inventive seasonal cocktails!
MoreCheekwood is a family favorite outing. The timed tickets help with lines and there is a lot of place to spread out and move around. So many fun things to see. The flowers are blooming and there are a lot of great places to walk in the shade.
MoreIt is so beautiful & pleasant here! Great place to get a good walk in for exercise. We went on a Sunday morning & met Dr. Cindy for Tai Chi in the garden. We loved it so much we signed up for her classes at Vanderbilt. There's much history to learn and a wide variety of plants, trees, flowers, etc to learn about. Various eateries to choose from, some offer live music ranging from folk to classical. It's a lovely place to visit!
MoreBeautiful gardens and lovely home. Would have liked a little more history around the Maxwell House connection. A bit pricey for admission.
MoreIt's a great place to go for a walk take some quiet in. Like the artwork that is changed up.
MoreFirst time there so just wandered with no agenda. Easy to social distance and everyone was mask compliant when 6ft not possible. This is a gem and if we lived closer, would certainly visit often, just to sit and look at the beauty as some were obviously doing.
MoreBeautiful! Love taking the family here as there is so much to do and see. Everything is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure to walk the sculpture trail and explore the mansion while you are there! The model train is always a favorite of my kiddos.
MoreBeautiful, worth the time! And you can practice social distancing
The lights were very pretty for the holidays and well done. It is great that you also get access to the museum and art works with your ticket. I would definitely recommend this as well as the Nashville Zoo for things to do at night in the winter. It is great for a date night or a time out with family and friends. My favourite part were the lights over the ponds that reflected back. It takes about an hour and a half at least to walk through if you wanted to stop and see everything and even had deer for the holiday season.
MoreBeautiful walk through the gardens! The poinsettia tree in the mansion never disappoints. The carolers were great. The train garden area brings out the kid in everyone. Don't miss visiting Jolly & Dolly the reindeers and grab a cup of cheer!
MoreStunningly gorgeous place that showcases the natural beauty of Middle Tennessee. My wife and I used to have season tickets, and enjoy going here frequently. Very relaxing atmosphere, and one of the things in Nashville you can do over and over and not get tired of. The Christmas light displays are exceptionally good.
MoreChihuly was all I wanted and more. Such incredible beauty with the glass....fantastic trip!
MoreThis amazing lavish, yet homey residence combines gorgeous decor with a very lived in feeling. We visited during Xmas and were dazzled by over a million (!) Christmas lights in oh so many configurations. Highly recommend.
MoreAbsolutely beautiful! Great peaceful night out.
Total loveeee... Sooo impressed... All the new gardens plus Chihuly... Wowwww
Dale Chihuly Exhibit @ Cheekwood. Great walk in the evening.
Greeted by a very nice and helpful employee outside visitor center upon arrival. Walked through some beautiful flower gardens on our walk. Got to the mansion, it was totally closed. Went down to the Learning Center. Very pricy food and drinks. All outside, no indoor A.C. and it was very hot and humid. Nothing else to see. Was very overpriced to take a walk through some lovely flowers and some woods. There was literally nothing else for the $20 per person entrance fee charged. Expensive walk.
MoreBeautiful Christmas light event, so glad we decided to go! Seeing the inside of the mansion and the Poinsettia Christmas tree was worth the visit! We arrived just after 20:00 and learned that at 20:30 we could receive 1/2 off admission. The 1.5 hours before close was sufficient for visiting the grounds and light displays but might have been more difficult with children. Loved seeing the reindeer as well!
MoreSo beautiful and peaceful. Everyone seemed so happy to have such a lovely place for an afternoon stroll.
MoreVisited yesterday. 3/2/2020. Beautiful, gorgeous Mansion and story to it. Interiors pristine. Took us close to three hours. Wished I could have stayed a whole day. Exhibits well worth seeing. Exteriors under construction or prior to Spring a disgrace. Or closed. Shameful. Foul smelling waters close to being sensed a swamp. Pool with green waters worst than a non-keep well. Wished summer was here to give this blot a second try. What a shame. Worth a refund!
MoreTheir wedding team is terrible. Poor communication and tell you that youβre lucky to be at their venue.
MoreCheekwood is always spectacular at any season, but especially at Christmas. Lights are everywhere, in all colors and designs. The walk is delightful with Christmas music playing, children laughing in amazement, and the fire pits glowing. The mansion is all decorated and there is a train exhibit to watch. Don't miss this when celebrating Christmas.
MoreBeautiful property. While its not quite spring yet and most plants in the gardens were not in bloom, it was still nice to visit and walk around. The mansion had beautiful art galleries filled with gorgeous orchids throughout the place. Must visit if you are ever passing the area. There is a gift shop and cute cafe with courtyard to sit outside and eat. There is even areas in the botanical garden for children to enjoy. So whether it's date night or family time out, there's something to be enjoyed by everyone.
MorePerfect for getting outdoors. The childrens' gardens are so great. I could hardly drag my toddlers away from them! A must-see for any family! They tell me the new children's garden will also have live turtles soon. And definitely make a stop by the sensory garden for the adventure paths. part of the adventure paths are closed right now due to covet but they are still so fun for toddlers.
MoreAbsolutely worth the price. I'm sore a day after from walking the grounds and the mansion, but it was totally worth it as well. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful especially at night when we were walking back to the car. Hoping to come back in October for the pumpkin festival!
MoreThe Christmas lights were wonderful!! And the fact they have the house open late to also tour it was great. Loved the history of the family & the grounds just as much as the festive decorations outside!! The train/toy room in the basement was definitely a favorite.
MoreI felt like an adult on an Easter egg hunt walking the grounds and searching for the next Chihuliy exhibit! Beautiful installations!
MoreI have toured better botanical sites, but this is certainly worth a visit. Plenty of parking - be sure to tell them you have a handicap card for up front parking and very short walk. Botanicals are well labeled and there are several gardens. I was there in fall so lots of pumpkins and squash displays. Paths easy to walk. Nice gift shop and a restaurant which I did not try. Do not miss going in the estate mansion, which I enjoyed. Two floors of art including well known artists - Wyeth and Warhol to name a couple. Elevators in the mansion. Great place to spend a half day. Botanical displays children enjoy too- Pumpkin House and children's garden.
MoreThis venue was absolutely gorgeous! I loved walking around the Japanese inspired gardens, especially as they turned the lights on. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Christmas time here is like something out of a storybook. π
MoreBeautiful gardens and art! I loved how spacious and open it is with lots to see along the way. We went with our two little kids and in-laws and everyone had a great time. It was a perfect activity for social distancing and exploring and we'll definitely be back!
MoreChristmas Lights at Cheekwood is a must for the whole family over the holidays. Plenty of parking, beautiful night, great hospitality combined to make this family outting a must for us in the future. We went directly to get hot chocolate and delicious adult beverages. We then walked the entire grounds viewing the thousands of lights. We finished at the superbly decorated mansion. A night to remember for all age groups.
MoreThe grounds and art work are spectacularly. The gift shop was not open to the garden ticket holders. You had to by a ticket to the mansion to look at the gift shop. My retail experience tells me, gift shops should be open to everyone. Sales would increase. Non brainer.
MoreVery peaceful, trails well laid out, could use even more art, good connection with natural surroundings
MoreChristmas Tour: Beautifully decorated estate and mansion. Paved walking paths throughout the grounds. Spectacular light display. Takes a couple of hours to do the entire self tour. Worth every penny! Can't wait to go back in the Spring.
MoreI absolutely love this place. You must put it on your list of places to see it is well worth it. I will be revisiting in the very near future. Thank you for fantastic feature. They are very beautiful!
MoreMy experience was a 5* because of Chihuly installations, but if it weren't for that I would have a much different experience. There were far fewer flowers than I thought. The mansion was interesting. The Japanese Garden is small, but nice. And I enjoyed the sculpture trail, especially the tall orange chairs. Fun!
